hold the cassette still and undo the lockring it should be quite tight so make sure you don't overtighten it.
Check the correct direction first!

Monkey877 replied... on 19 October 2010
Nah, it's just the rim, i did want a new hub but I don't really have the money atm :/
Nah, the pedals are black, i just put them on because the bearings are alot better and they are alot grippier than the ones that come with the bike...
Yeah i did lol :)
Downhill Rider77 replied... on 19 October 2010
you know your back wheel , isit the actuall SAS halo rims haze with ourple hub the £100 pound ones or just the rim , are your diamondback pedals blue ? , did you get the gt chucker from halfords?
Monkey877 replied... on 18 October 2010

Monkey877 replied... on 18 October 2010
Actually, it would be about £250, i forgot to include the new tire :P
Monkey877 replied... on 18 October 2010
So far, i have spent around £235 on mine :P
Monkey877 replied... on 18 October 2010
Yeah, i'll try get one up tomorrow :)
Downhill Rider77 replied... on 18 October 2010
ahh so ill find some sprockets around there because my bmx atm has got i think its a 48t sprocket haha so easy to get up hills , ah about the same really, im thinking its going to cost alot with all this modifying , ill get a picture of my bike up when im done , will you get a pictture of your upgraded bike up ?
Monkey877 replied... on 18 October 2010
I mostly ride dirt jumps and a bit of light FR/DH.
The forks are alright, could be better but they do the job fine :).
Depends how steep the hill is really, usually i have no problem riding up any hills :) got 32T on the front and 16T on the back so the ratio is about right really :P
Downhill Rider77 replied... on 18 October 2010
ahh might do that then , i was looking at the white spank tweet tweet chain and thinking of getting a purple sprocket then white cranks and purple pedals , what type of bikeing do you do ? , i might get some halo purple tyres ha , think it would look beast , is the mazzorcchi dj3 forks any good or are they like stiffy , is the tooth amount on your single speed chain easy to get up hills and stuff or is it hard , might get a purple rear hub with a small cassette with it
Monkey877 replied... on 18 October 2010
There are a few purple ones, but they aren't quick release :/
To be honest mate, i'm not sure, i don't really wanna go and take the tyre of too check, i'm knackered at the moment (been riding all day :D) but I can say that the tire is alot more grippy compared to the Kenda K-RAD's that come with the bike...
to convert to single speed i bought the DMR single speed conversion kit which i think was around £35, i would also deffinately reccomend getting a chain designed for single speed (the spank tweet tweet chain is lush for me) other wise you will find it skips alot. also, if you buy the dmr single speed conversion, it would be a good idea to buy a different tensioner as the one that comes with it is a bit iffy :/ only reason i haven't changed mine is i want a new frame and the frame i'm looking at has horizontal dropouts.
The bike is fairly light, i weighed mine the other day and it's 14.8 kg (32.6 lb).
Downhill Rider77 replied... on 18 October 2010
ahh ok , you cant get any purple quick release seat clamps around that i know (n) , are the dmr tyres your on about got like a browny white in the inside , are the grips comfy , how much did it cost you to convert into single gear , is the bike light ?
