they are a good bike, i like mine but always wanna improve, dart 1 forks are crap and heavy m8, best thing was to change them.

Yeah they feel great, much plusher and almost half the weight of the old darts. I totaly recommend them, the lock out is nice to have for climbing hills too!

I am pretty happy with the bike so far. It may only be a lowly Halfords Carrera but I think it has a lot of potential. Quite surprised at how light the frame feels once the handle bars & forks etc are off. Changed the forks as soon as I could and it feels a lot better, lost 1kg straight away and it handles so much better. Future upgrades for next year I am planning include changing out the handlebars, stem & seatpost with light weight parts maybe carbon!? It could definatly do with a shorter stem. I'll upgrade the drive train as it wears out.
