awesome! by the time i get to my afan trip it will have some hope pro 2 evo's laced with mavic XM719's and some maxxis 2.35 high roller rubbers. a easton haven carbon 711 bar, 70mm thomson stem, thomson elite seat post and sdg bel air ti seat, and a hope ceramic bb and hope headset... all colour coded ofcourse hahaha

Thanks, my first build made last summer, only really just got into mountain biking really about the same time so obv have since realized how much better/lighter i could have made it but pretty happy with it.. Still keeps a smile on my face at the bottom of the trails!

Nice bike, can't really think of any better bike to start your foray into mountain biking on. Especially if you've built it yourself!

That will get you round afan no probs, just be careful on the descents, control your speed and you will be fine.
