Very nice bike mate, Like to see vintage Zaskars. I see you have disc up front, V's to the rear.. it's possible to get a frame adapter from A2Z, so that you can fit discs on the rear?. Mines a 99 Zaskar ( see buy/sell)(Ink blue anodised), XT & other sweet stuff.. to improve mine I'd like to fit a hollowtech II BB, & disc adapter to get lighter & up to date.
Thanks for comments. i have thought about the a2z rear disc adapter. At the moment i am running XTR Vs on the back with standard pads im unsure should i just get the best vpads possible or convert to disc.My hollowtech 2 was a massive improvement the old xt crank could flex so much it would scrape the front mech when pushed hard whereas the hollowtech is soild looks fantastic and saved my about 3/4 of a kg.
The bike weight is around 11kgs at the mo. which is lighter than my friends new HT bikes :) with the weight of a rear disc, adapter, caliper, mount and pads i could lose my title. :)
This is my Ride
My Proper American 1999 to 2011 GT Zaskar.
Over the years only thing that's not been upgraded is the frame. which is now polished to near mirror finish.
