Great place to start, make sure you look after the seals on those forks, (it's their Achilles heel lol.)

Suntour XCR isn't really that bad - I guess so long as you stick to its intended purpose. I had them on an entry-level Giant and used them for trail riding for a year without any problems. I'd say they're just as good as RS Tora's. I've already sold the entire bike, as I've learned XC isn't really my cup of tea. My suggestion is you keep the fork and beat the crap out of it. As your riding progresses, you'll know whether you're sticking to XC (so get them Reba's), or feel the need for more gravity oriented riding (in which case, sell your entire bike and get a full-susser).

cheers for that advice ii will bare that in mind

Nice but the forks will likely self destruct after a while. Its a great frame though.

JakeStani replied... on 7 April 2011

yeah not the best forks by far, looking at getting some rock shox reba's for it soon will change the feel of the bike and make it lighter

Pots and pans neatly stacked deserves a high mark, but heavily used oven glove loses you points!

Otherwise I think it's a good base for making changes - I would start on forks if that's possible, it's the one item that instantly changes the feel of your bike

Plz rate mine

JakeStani replied... on 7 April 2011

cheers lol the forks were next to be upgraded was gunna put on some rock shox reba dual air, then it the wheels everythink else has been upgraded at least twice
