Im riding a DH3 Muddy at the moment, circa 2006, love it, be it heavy and a bit of a beast... Love yours, especially the 888's and the chain device/seat/bars... nice one... got me thinking...
The frame is a 2003 model. Yeah I remeber looking through the muddyfox catalogue in about 1988 and wishing I could have even the cheapest one! Its a shame what the brand has become really.
Cheers mate. I don't know how much travel it has in its current setting but I do know that if I put the saddle a centimeter lower then the tyre just about bottoms out as it hits it so its somewhere around 9 inches I guess. I can set it to have twelve if I set it up differently but its far too linear so it blows through the travel too easily.
I love it just because I've never come across another one and because it looks so much better than it used to (check it out as it used to be in my other bikes!)...
I pulled my old muddyfox out of the cupboard and brought into this decade with a few upgrades. Formula Mega brakes. some 888 rcv's, new chain device and new stem/bars/saddle and it feels like a very different bike..!
