nice bike love the fox forks, hows the avid brakes?
i have the gt avalanche and i am thinking bout upgrading my stem whats the weight of the 1 your using.

HulaBoy replied... on 2 September 2011

Ah yeah the Fox's are awesome!
The stem isn't the lightest, but it isn't the heaviest either...
It improves the handling no end and combined with the VOne bars is definitely not gonna let me down...
Unlike my old bars and stem that sheared off and left me out of action for a while!

Brilliantly styled bike with good upgrades. I'd suggest changing your pedals when budget allows. V8's are top for the the price, but you'd be amazed how much pedal you can get for how little money now.

Thanks for the rating dude.
I like the V8's feel but would like something a little wider across the front, under the ball of my foot.
When i can afford it i was thinking of getting the DMR Vaults...
What pedals do you run?

HulaBoy replied... on 9 June 2011

Cheers dude, I replaced the brakes with Avid BB7's.
New Halo Freedom Pro wheels, Maxxis High Rollers and short Truvativ Hussefelt stem.
It's the same frame as a Kona Coiler so I'll hammer it for a while then replace it.
