I think i kind of get your meaning lol. I think it almost looked plastic sometimes because of the green on everything. Although it was a large so its massive! I'm 6ft and it was a tiny bit too big for me I think.

the rear frame i dont like it looks very heavy and has alot of useless metal... the colour on the other hand is very lush and the parts are nice aswell... nice forks aswell but just an opinion that they would look better in black?

This is a a very nice bike, i was looking at one myself but couldn't justify it as my only bike as the Mrs says i have to sell my hardtail and my meta 5 to pay for the wolf Ridge.

unsure on the weight. its on my things 'to do' list though. my other bike (the stinky) snapped so i thought pretty much the same thing as you when i saw it (i wont snap that!) and i love the colour so i bought it. i think it rides great, its way more versatile than the stinky. ie: can go up things a little bit too (slowly).

on this bike about 6 - 8ft drops, jumps i dont know how long. i didnt have a tape measure handy to check. all my pictures suck though i never get a chance to get any good ones. i have done all the large stuff at cwmcarn bar the wallride. not on this bike yet, i have only had the stinky up there so far. its a good all rounder that leans towards FR and DH what with the longer travel. i can use it for XC rides then chuck it off anything i fancy that i see while im on it.

Sweet, super bright colour, was considering one of thes when I bough my full sus almost a year ago. Decided on a bit more of an all rounder though (Giant Reign X). Ment to be the best pedaling platform around.

its the big green thing with marin written up the side. it looks like a bike (only better), it has 2 wheels, handlebars, seat and other bits attached to the bright green frame and it goes up and down hills like theres no tomorrow.

at first when i got the bike i wan't keen on them but after using them for a while i am growing to like them a bit more. they are really good when pushing the bike hard, they seem to have more grip than the maxxis minions i have on my stinky. they are a bit slow and heavy on roads and xc stuff but they make up for it when the going gets tough. cheers for rating.

Ill give you a ten because you have chosen a sweet bike-see mine :) Personally, I don't like the rims but thats just a matter of taste. With totem coils in black it would be sweet and a ti spring-I had to get a mojo spring because marzocchi don't make one in the right length. Apart from losing weight it makes your suspension more supple

its great. i use it for everything including xc rides. the 2008 marzocchi fork is a bit dodgy though. it has a developed some play in the bushings rather quickly.

yeah it seems good. im still tweaking the pressures a little bit and the rebound adjustment is much more responsive than on my 06 marzocchi 888. its good. ive done a few 5ft to 6ft-ish drops to flat with it and it seems fine so far.

right you wont get a large one. ive got the last one. marin are all out. only chance for large is find a dealer with one in stock. but you wont coz i only found 1. and they only had 1 left and this is it! medium is ok though. loads of them left, can get one for 1800-1900 if you ask around.

ive had it a week now and ive managed to work loose every single one of the linkage bolts. my bike shop re-tightened them all for free though. and i didnt buy it there. im quite well known in there though and have a a bit of a reputation amongst the staff for breaking all my bikes.

it feels tough so far, only had it a day though! taken it over a few small jumps and a drop of about 5ft so far. dosnt suck up hits like my stinky yet but its early days and still wearing it in and tuning the suspension.

high rollers are awsome i prefer them to the minions there a great feeling tyre i just love the secure feeling you get when you`ve got your bike laid over in a turn you can feel the outer edge and even when they go a bit they soon find the grip again

I agree with the tyre upgrade. The kendas arent all they are cracked up to be. I whacked a set of Maxxis High Rollers on my Rock Springs, the difference is amazing.

yeah, its the same bike. and i have the same rims. and i want a white bashring but im not going to convert a single chainring like the guy from MBUK has, because i need to pedal up as well as down. and he has a white fizik seat on his which im not going to do either as i like the seat thats on the bike as standard. and i was going to get white rims but in my opinion you can only roll on green rims, without some sort of horrible colour clash, on certain bikes. this is one of them. and when i saw the bike in MBUK with these rims i knew they matched the frame colour perfectly. rest assured i will be monitoring jamer from MBUK's build, and i will be making changes to my bike over time (as will he im sure) so that it's individual to me and wont look like the one in the magazine. i would hate to have a exact duplicate of someones bike!

i got some of them tyres from halfords ages ago, they are on my giant. (see my profile) they are ok for grip, slide a bit when wet but what dosnt? they also wear down real fast and i dont think they are that good really. too soft and squashy for me. i have them on a lightweight all-mountain/long travel xc rig but i dont think they are suitable for any really hard riding, (eg. jumping) i can feel them squirming round when i land jumps on them.

it has to have beefy welding because of the stresses you put on the frame from downhilling. your daughter is obviously not going to do downhilling on her budget bike so it wouldnt matter whether they even tack welded it.
