Awesome frames. Would have loved this spec, but really wanted a white one, had to settle for Rock Springs and upgrade it from there
I agree with the kenda tyres, i opted for Maxxis High rollers, so sweet.

lovely best. one up in the range from my marin. How are you finding it. i really love mine. they really can take it all. hav you cahnged the tyres. arent they kenda nevagal as stock.

Yeah I know what you mean,they're real grippy but wear quick and the rolling resistance is crap.My bike i so much faster now i've changed treads.

the kendas on my quake suck. they are soooooo slow. they say they are 2.5" but ive measured them and they are near as makes no difference 3" wide! they are like slugs. black, sometimes brown, slow and sticky!

The bike is fantastic,even though it cost me an arm and leg! I wore the kendas out and so far the fat alberts are great,they roll a lot faster than the kendas .

nice, i just got a new marin and was thinking of getting this bike but got a quake instead. whats the chainstay protector on this side for? no chain on that side to slap there, whats it there for?

oh right. good plan. it looks weird with a black chainstay protector on the wrong side at the moment. i know what you mean though, ive only had my quake 2 days and im catching my foot on it now and again.

Hiya,
I was finding that my foot would sometimes scuff the swingarm when using flats. So I put one on just to keep the paintwork mint. Will be getting some clear film soon.
