Yeh man, if I remember correctly, I think they only ever made 4 of them. It was going to be called the 'Stupor' but never got that far. Those are 6 inch Jnr T X-Flys too! Try and find another pair of those why don't you! lol Before it got nicked, it had pre-production Marzocchi z150's on it too, which looked amazing. They were rather similar to the production ones, but without the gold topcaps, and slightly different(more expensive) internals. I miss that bike like crazy. Everyone I knew that had a go on it mentioned how quickly it accelerated, and you could feel every individual stone through the pedals because those cranks were so stiff! I will try and replace it someday.......RIP.
never heard of or seen a 'kona protochute' before. it looks a very neat and tidy frame for a kona. i dont like the way the cables and hose are running along the top though, that would annoy me, why they simply dont weld the bits to hold them onto the bottom is really irritating.

Need more Chutes on here, pioneer of the hardcore hardtail. Nice fork, bit of a disaster on this frame though
