looks well dude i have a stab in a very similar colour, you need the dope brake to stop the back end breaking!!

yeah the dope arm reduces braking forces through the rear triangle, the amount of stinkys that snap on the caliper side on the rear is unreal

does a dope brake actualy help? iv never heard of a stinky rear end braking just the head tube?
