the seat's high because that's how high it need's to be for me to ride it(seriously your marking me down cos the seat's high?) and if you'd bother'd to read what I'd said about the bike you'd see that the paint work is custom so it can't be a stock photo, if you'd also looked at my profile you'd see that I'm a photographer.
Nice paintjob mate Mountain cycle rule,People say oldskool but i think they have only just come into date now coz when they came out they where far ahead of there time
I totall agree, I'm in the process of turning it into the ultimate trail/freeride bike, changing the forks for something lighter with 6in travel, and a few other weight saving changes.
keep your eye on ebay, they appear on there once in a while. this one was in pretty poor state when I got it, that's why it only cost me around ?200 for the frame. (?1300 brand new)
Always wanted one of these, and you have done a nice job with it, they were crazy light compared to how they appeared, due to the hollow box frame whihc made an alsome sound, not to removed from a tioga disk if you remember them?
yeah it's a little high, due to the forks, when I get it back from the police I'm going to put shorter travel single crown forks on it, and make it more of an all mountain bike rather than Freeride, should set up the geometry a bit better and make it lighter too.
thanks, was 6 months works in the end. glad you like the colour too. only thing I didn't like about the later sanadreas, was lack of interesting paint jobs. CEO Mountain cycle europe saw it and loves it.
Nice looking bike that. Only San Andreas I owned was the Rumble hardtail. May be old school but I'm sure you have no probs keeping up with peeps on newer rigs.
Nah Never needed a chain device, I ride fairly hard, but have never lost a chain, just gotta get the tension right. go the mud guard as I got sick of getting a wet arse years ago, my not look pretty, but does the job.
the picture is a bit dark dont you think? it would be nice to see it a bit more clearly. im sorry but i am marking you down for photographing your bike in a cave.
Hiya. This is an big old style monitor that i'm using rather than a flat one. Which ever way i look at it the picture is mostly blackness. i can see the gold part of the frame. i'll assume it's awesome of course!
think if your looking at it on a TFT screen, look at it from a different angle (higher up) or alter the screen brightness. I took the photo's at work, and the moniters we have there are pretty good, but when veiwed on other screens it doesn't quite veiw as well.
I bought this as a derelict frame, had it sand blasted, and given a professional custom respray. Mountain Cycle kindly sent me some replacement decals for nothing, all the way from the USA. I then built it up with choice parts to build a great all round bike.

god yeah I remember the old Tioga Disc's, they sounded absolutly awesome. John Tomac used to ride them. If I could find one now I'd have it!

ashley_photog replied... on 18 January 2009
oh you mean a bash ring, well the only time I ever scraped a ring was doing trials manouvers, and I like having a full range of gears.

wasnt to do with loosing the chain but to do with damage from rocks
