I agree about Kona they need to pick their game up, however, I think the bike mags have a lot to answer for when they carry out reviews. I read about and rode a lot of bikes before finally settling on the Kona. Initially I was sceptical (having based my opinion on mags) but what a difference riding it was. My advice is: speak to your LBS and get a proper test ride, and as the old saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Sods law though, they've gone and pimped it for 2009. Bolt thru fork, replaceable rear hangers:-(
Bought this pooch from the local pound about 4 months ago. It's stock in the pic, but now has Raceface EvolveDH 50mm stem and Diabolus DH bars for the steep and twisty stuff;-) Shorter stem definitely makes this dog more obedient.

Have the same bike but switched rear to Sun SingleTrack SL1 Rim 32hole built with XT M756 Hub. Love this ride!!
