Love this bike- it will do anything! Fox Talas fork so can drop the travel to 120mm for 4x and a bit of dirt jumping, then wack it up to 140mm and it will play in the woods all day long. It has a really compact back end giving a 'big BMX' feel and while its pretty much bombproof its still nice and light, this is the only freeride hardtail bike I've ridden that would keep me off a full susser!

really nice bike, cut your steerer tube down though, could save 30grams on spacers and tube!
susser73 replied... on 11 January 2009
I think there are probably quite a few ways to take the weight down on this bike, but strength is key here. The bike was a week old when this shot was taken, so was still sussing out bar height. It's cut down now, but I can honestly say that I haven't noticed any difference in the way that the bike handles. Thanks for you vote. C.

oooh dear, these bars are really not doing very well. The brakes are Juicy 7's and I'm not convinced. They seem to be a bit hit and miss, if that makes sense. I have Hope Moto's on my Marin and they are just insane! I agree about the forks, the adjustable travel really adds to this bikes versatility.

the best all round hardtail in my eyes, dont really no why they still run the cables down the top of the frame like they do but thats a small niggle, think i would put a e13 drs on too
susser73 replied... on 8 January 2009

sweet rig 'green giant' solid as a rock! what seat are you running? post on profile, rate mine
susser73 replied... on 8 January 2009
Thanks for your vote, the seat is an SDG Belair SL - very comfy as it has no seams. I rate them a lot as a good light all round seat. I think Merlin Bikes are doing them half price at the moment if you are looking for a new perch.

you have some nice bikes. this one is a nice colour. that looks like a really high rise on those bars, they look a bit odd too me. you could fit some with a lower rise and move your stem up the steerer to compensate. still nice though.
susser73 replied... on 7 January 2009
Yep I agree, only had this one for about a week so still playing with bar hight before I cut down the steerer tube. As for the colour- Its actually a pearlesant green (doesnt really show in the photo) looks pretty rad.
