I find this bike a really good fun when you just want to go for a blast on your local trails with out fiddling and fettling to try and get things feeling right. I changed the brakes straight away from the Avid BB5 cable thingys to the new ElixerR's-this made a huge difference! The single speed set up makes you think about your riding style a little more and the big steam roller wheels keep things fast and smooth. I personally quite like the Mary bars, but I am considering doing something with the fork- maybe carbon rigid, maybe 80mm sus, not sure yet. A blast to ride and a complete contrast to the other bikes I own, which helps keep things fresh. Believe the hype- 29ers rock!

what are the 29ers like? does it really take out the bombs like they say it does? and does it damage your handling much?

This bike is different from anything I've ridden before, but in a good way. It is ridiculously fast, really good for blasting single track. It feels very awkward in the air, but thats not what its for. I just use it as an Xc bike to sharpen fitness and riding skills- because when you get back on a full susser it all feels too easy! They are cheap as chips so make a really good second bike. I have seen this bike brand new on Ebay for £399! If you don't give too much of a crap about what other people think it's a really fun bike to ride. If you get the chance to have a go on one- take it and go fast!

you have quite a collection of bikes dont you. im going to give this a nine because although it looks nice colourwise, its just not my type of bike and is definatly not the best of your collection in my opinion. sorry.

Thats cool/fair, the whole point of this bike is that it is something different. Riding this bike down the same trails I would usually take the Marin is err- educational! hahah!
