Folks, I am looking to buy a DH bike. I have a Specialized Pitch already but feel like I'm pushing it beyond its purpose! I want to buy a bike that is not hugely expensive but is good enough that it will take on most things you throw it at. I have been looking at the Big Hit with the idea of putting boxxers on it, but wondering if I'd be better holding out for the extra £1000 and buying a Trek Session 8. Is there a significant difference in the performance of these bikes? I know the Big Hit has 7.5'' travel on the back and the session 8 is 8'', would you notice such a small difference? Will the session 8 make life easier over really rocky sections? Or landing drops? Etc. I am fairly new to this, excuse any ignorance!

this bike looks sweet and i am looking as getting some bigger forks for my big hit 2 but wasnt sure how it would run or if it would damge the bike at all

thanks mate its a realy nice ride very quik and gripy and evan better with a set of 2.5 schwable tyers on but tha new avids that were on it aint much good so im getting hope brakes soon.
