Upgraded at xmas with a Kind shock cobra i900 remote seatpost,XTR 970 rear derailleur,Easton Monkeylite XC bars. the seatpost is the dogs,the post is fantastic giving 5" of travel. no more stopping at the top of descents for me kids! unfortunately the remote lever broke first time out and i replaced it with a shimano shifter. i fall off it reguarly in the Peak district (the Dark side!)

just bought exactly the same model and absolutely love it but you are right the tyres are poor in the wet just not aggressive enough. just bought a panaracer cinder rear for it and trying it out today. but that said this is the best bike i have ridden so far for the shear fact that it climbs better than my hard tail..?? it's a leap forward in rear suss tech definately a ten..! nice bike.

Sweet bike! I've got exactly the same on order and I really can't wait until I get it! Been 5 weeks so far so I'm hoping it'll arrive any day now! What's the seat post like as I'm considering one of those for mine too but I'm not sure whether to go for yhr i900 or wait for the i950...... cheers.

Thanks for the comment. make sure you get them to change the Tyres. The stock Jones xr are useless in the wet/mud. Push them hard for an XTR derailleur as well. the original XT wasn't much kop.i've been riding for 26 years and i can't fault this bike! you will love it.
