Thinking of getting this as a starter, just wanted to know if it was heavy & what's the suspension and brakes like?

yer i wud of thought that was your best bet, full susser will make it harder work soaking up force on back coil, hardtail will be much more efficent on more level tarmac

Cheers, prob gonna be on tarmac 90% of the time - you reckon I'm better off spending the same money on a hardtail?

is a very good bike...good weight to it, well balanced...only probz i've got with it is the suspension is on the soft side(even when adjusted to stiffest setting), every review i have read about the bike has said the same. other than that i dont think there a better bike for the money
