nice bike i have 2 mates who ride these. you asked what the code 5's are like on my marin, well ive only ever used 4 types of hydraulic brakes. hayes 9's (ive had 2 sets and i hate them), diatech anchors (quite powerfull, cheap too but have weak bendy rotors, i suppose they could be upgraded, not bad budget brakes. a pair costs less than 1 hope M6), the avid code 5's (came on my marin) and hope M6's (upgrade from hayes 9's on my stinky). the hopes are the best, then the avids. i prefer the feel of the hopes and i think they are more powerfull than the code 5's too.

sweet bike, nice setup, not likeing the saddle, could be better couler, not too keen on the rear suspension, never liked the way they ride, gota be a 6 soz dude, change the rear suspension, saddle and try tidy up the wires a bit, (rate me)
