Very nice ride man I love the Blue frame very nice design, Totem shock's are just amasing I think they must be my favirote Rock Shox fork. Brakes look like real bests!! Very nice ride love it
well i cant fault it buddy youve gotten yourself a sweet rig there and should be proud of it, i am luving the colour scheme and brakes. Only thing i would change would be forks to either Boxxers, 888, or RC40s
btw is there a chain in this pic cause i cant see one lol
rate my Marin please
my fav. model of santa cruz. the blue looks mint and the rear hose looks really tidy the way its routed and you cant finish a bike off better with a Ti spring and i've always said, hope all the way
dont get what all this is about English Dh wanting less travel, as far as I can tell its English DH that demands 9 and 10" travel bikes, rockiest crazy shit in the world
It's looking amazing mate. you should be super chuffed. Will look even better when you swap those Totems for my 888 RCs though... hehe (I'm a chancer, I know)
Also an update the VP-Free now has some LOVELY 83mm Diabolus cranks with a dual ring setup & saint mech. Also installed some Hope Moto V2's which are well...... let me just say i dont think you could improve on their performance EVER!
Wonder if i should let you build my rear wheel hmmm considering its more complicated than cable routing lol :-) on a serious note tho i need you to have a look at my High speed/Low speed compression dials on the totems as the silver one on top wont move atall so i need you expertise man.
ace man, but you should of said it is grim when climbing cause now i am thinking of getting one, so another frame option to add to my list hahaha!
Oh and about the cable routing on front fork, i was talking bollocks i didnt realise totems have a guide on the front for the cable, whoooops for me like, sorry man!
Actually Jay it climbs really really well, and to be honest it climbs amazingly cycing through torry being chassed by a group of junkies!!! hehee, nah but seriously with the dual ring up front yes it does climb particulary well!!
oh and i think you missed the point of my banter i am not having a go man. I just prob write like i speak in person which can sometimes be taken the wrong way on the internet. I know the frame n forks you have very well, and i have told you how much i rate VP Free's last time ya where by the shop. So yeah.. cool cool. just a point like!
i would route it to the back of the fork, and zip tie it the other side to what you have. I cant really explain it better than that. Just put the caliper through the brace and down then zip tie, this would give a better route way. In my opinion.
I'm perfectly calm bud all i want to know is what exactly i've done wrong or if nothing what you would do that would better the routing of the cables, i'm always open to constructive critisisim but i dont appreciate an explenation.
I agree with you about the colour but it does grow on you! It also looks much nicer in real life its a really sparkly metalic, for more pics see http://derekkobeti.pinkbike.com/album/VP-Free-07-10-07/
