Winterberg Bike Park

Winterberg Bike Park is a mountain biker's idea of heaven. The park is being constantly updated and improved, and already has 9km of biking madness and nine professionally designed trails with some of the widest variety of riding anywhere in Germany including Downhill, Slope Style, North Shore and Four Cross specific trails.

The park boasts excellent facilities including uphill transport with chair and cable lifts, and like many of the big bike parks Winterberg offers bike and equiptment hire facilities too, including a repairs and rider training classes for all levels of ability on trails specifically aimed at learners.

The biking season usually runs from the 1st of May to the 31st of October, and depending on weather conditions the park may open even earlier. Other non-biking facilities entertainment and activities are also located on site.

The nine trails are named:

PRACTICE ROUTE. (aimed at beginners or riders looking to practice and improve their skills.),
CONTINENTAL TRACK. (easy to medium track with smaller challenges.)
SLOPE-STYLE TRACK. (skate park style area with sandy surface. Expect big fun jumps.)
FLOWSHORE. (no info on this trail at present.)
FOUR CROSS. (medium difficulty with up to six riders at once.)
FREE CROSS. (medium to hard level track with big berms, jumps and more.)
FUN RIDE. (medium difficulty track with aspects and obstacles taken from all the other tracks. Emphasis on fun.)
NORTH SHORE. (For expert riders. Expect wooden trailways up to two metres above the ground featuring jumps, drops, steep bends and some waves.)
DOWNHILL. (expert level with lots of roots, gaps and drops. Some big stuff.)
