Yair Forest, a hill situated closer to the village of Clovenfords, tends to be overlooked despite being a favourite of experienced Tweed Valley mountain bikers. Its secluded location provides the benefit of reduced traffic and, as a result, the trails are more challenging with steeper gradients, including a couple of impressive downhill tracks.
However, there are also some older, well-maintained trails that offer an excellent trail biking experience, especially on sunny days. The trailhead features the remarkable Three Brethren, three imposing stone cairns that mark the junction of three estates and add to the beauty of the area.
The car park is on the south side of the A707, halfway between Selkirk and Caddonfoot.
There is no charge to park in this car park. Please park with care and consideration. In particular please park in designated parking areas only and do not block entrances or gates.
