Family orientated fun
Review:
This is not for the thrill seeker or those looking to test themselves.
Hicks Lodge is a family orientated affair with a green and blue trail.
The green is perfect for young children to gain confidence and learn rougher terrain.
The blue 4¼ mile course is a good workout but no likely to meet the challenges of more experienced riders.
Some of the reviews are harsh given that this never pretends to be something it's not. It's a family mtb centre.

I have done this trail twice and it has been even more fun every time I do it, I am planning to organise and take part in a cycling event there for charity at my school

Great first off road ride!
Review:
Our first off road ride with my 11yr old boy. Well marked, good jumps and bends. Overall was well old fun even for a lump like me. Gonna hit the tracks again next weekend. Definitely recommend this site.

Family or Beginner only
Review:
I've been twice to Hicks Lodge. The café, little bike shop, car parking are good, however as a fairly experienced mountain biker I find the trails very tame and to be honest dull. Good for family but not worth travelling to.
