Good location, but a steep learning curve

Review:
I can only really speak for the dirt jump area.
Pretty clear, although the gap between 3 and 4 start was pretty intense. A lot of things to catch you by surprise.
Transfer, and Constipated Snail were my main stays, they were fun routes, and not TOO much of a push back up, so I spent a good three hours there.
N.B. I didn't do ANY of the XC trails, so I've no input on those besides the maybe half mile from the layby carpark.

Summary:
XC trails a bit frustrating...

Review:
I don't want to be too down on this place because anywhere that's been set up to ride, especially this close to London, is definitely a good thing, but I found the XC trails here a bit awkward, almost entirely down to the fact that the route-marking is quite poor and the trails that allow bikes are completely tangled with those don't. I continually found myself accidentally wandering onto footpaths or coming up on dead ends and having to turn back. This is further complicated by a network of bridle paths, some of which are shared and some which aren't. All of the trails run both ways too- there doesn't appear to be any sort of designated loop as such...the upshot of all of this is that you're continually running into walkers, horse-riders, and other bikers coming the other way.

On the upside, it's a beautiful forest and well worth a visit if that's your thing. Woburn sands is a great village too with some nice pubs for a post-ride lunch. I'd say it's a great family day out, but there are better places for a good XC blast.

I should stress that this all refers to the XC trails - the DH / Freeride area is really impressive, see the other reviews here for more on all that. I'll rate this place a 7 overall to take the DH are into account.

Review:
Well easy to find, great place to learn how to jump the dh trails are fun not to sure where the xc trails started think maybe the area could do with an imformation bord map for all the trails. ....ALso beware.... take about £4 with you incase you bump into the park warden. Worth the money tho.

Cracking!!

Review:
Spent 3 or 4 hours here yesterday and had a right laugh. Loads of XC trails with some really nice flowing sections and a little bit of technical riding thrown in for good measure. The ups are not too bad and the downs are cracking. I cant comment on the jumps and proper DH sections around the jumps but they looked good.
We will definitely be going back and hopefully wont get lost second time round!!
