Rode the Aston XC, 4X and the Red DH yesterday, and I can say some ego's were well and truly checked.
A brilliant days riding, first of all.
The XC is challenging, and long enough to keep you wanting more. Bear in mind, its mid december, so the entire place is currently caked in a layer of thick slime so even the flat rooty bits required some extra talent.
The Red DH run (part of the XC) was fearsome in the wet, and I rode this on my hardtail...but the FS lads were on it here, with drops, rooty step offs and some nice off camber, singletrack downhill.
My section fo the day was the start of a joint DH4, Black run and XC downhill singletrack, I naturally took the XC section which was excellent fun I wish I had the legs left for antoher run, but the walk back up to the car park is a biznitch.
(as a side note, all 3 of the FS boys with me binned it in someway on the DH4, however big shout to Ian who dislocated his thumb during the process)
Cant wait to go back and do it in the dry, may even have finished building my FS Marin by then, as a HT does add some challenge to this place!

the dh3 is a realy fun all round trail. it starts at the top with some nice jumps then a drop. then the further you go the stepper it gets with less jumps and more tight turns and steep sections. i would recomend it to anyone with a bit of experance on whatever bike or style you ride. give it a go and you will love it.
