edgy

it really is close to the edge, i have even seen a chap slip down a good 20 feet too, at one of the less steep banks onto grass (must have been a very lucky day for him!). the trail is great fun buzzing round the edges of the gully, keep up your speed and flow and it pays dividends, watch out for some of the tight switchback corners they can be a bit loose and u do not want to slip into the abyss! im not sure about the photo above either, trying to place it near the end of the gully section before it flows right into the forest to the jumps maybe?? correct colour dirt though lol!!

Good stuff!

nice bit of northshore and its flowy second half is great fun too - i agree it does loose its fun factor towards the end, but not by alot! great in the dry, and despite the torrential rain ripping up the paths to the top the freeride side stays in rather good condition!

Summary:
good fun
Review:
the soup dragon is actually really good fun considering its grade, fast flowing you can really pelt it down or cruise through the trees, simple riding for after work fun - the climb is a tad dreary though but a good workout nonetheless!

Summary:
Do it three times in a row
Review:
Go round once and you'll be hesitant for fear of falling down the gully. By the third time you can blast down it forgetting that there is a big drop to the left. You can really push the limits of the track and give yourself a scare now and again. One of my favourites.

Always Interesting!

My second round today so my summary is; gentle start, good uphill slog on fireroad and some singletrack leads to a fab viewpoint looking north over Sutherland. Then the fun begins, winding downhill through trees on mostly singletrack (very wet and muddy today!), you can't lose concentration for a moment or you're off! Great fun.
