Brilliant Route but really a black grade
Review:
I loved this route and agree with previous comments but you should beware, this has many black graded features and should be treated as such. Many people do it in full armour and a full face, I certainly put my full face on for my 2nd go as there are many potential places to fall and it's gonna hurt! If you aren't happy on steep rock and exposed situations you'll get a fright and walk large chunks of this. That said, it is a fantastic route with beautiful views, but don't go on a wet day!

Good trail, but...
Review:
Offers a variety of terrain from boardwalk and rock gardens to open mountainside giving amazing views accross the Highlands. It offers plenty of challenges but the top section isn't as flowy as the bottom or the world cup course. If you are heading there for DH, try it out but I'd stick to the WC which is amazing. Agree with RobIsOnFire about the end section being an avoidance of the WC course, it does give potential however for future improvement of this bit. Better to enjoy the DH section after the wall ride.
On the downside, the trail has been a bit miss-marketed as an XC route suitable for families, last time I was up there was a guy on a fully rigid muddy fox with panniers and a family carrying their bikes and looking rather miserable! Watch out for people pushing bikes on the boardwalk....!
It is a remote trail so make sure you take a spare tube or two and a pump - its a long walk back.
Last thing, watch out for the cross wind on the last 20 metres of the boardwalk (and particularly the jump), it can get breezy - it whipped the bike from under me and dumped me onto my shoulder from 5ft up. Broken bike and a separated shoulder.
A trail that will have you smiling by the end and no pushing back up. Get to the bottom, grab the cable car to the top and start again.
