Summary:
Tough push up, a little bit short, but worth it!

Review:
I went to the black 'up and over' route on my stinky, the push to the top was hard and long, bailed on the northshore, at places my tire was the same width as the wood..which i didnt expect! But once it gets to the desent, it becomes technical, rocks and big drops hitting you fast!

Overall, a good track! even if it is a bit small! quite a high skill level needed! and id recomend a more 'DH' orientated bike to enjoy the track in full!

Summary:
Fairly short but challenging all the same. For highly skilled riders.

The up and over trail is part of the deadwater trails. You can choose to return to the car park using the rest of the red graded deadwater trail or the black graded "up and over trail". If you opt for black be prepared for things to get tough all of a sudden.

The descents are steep, rocky and loose and the climbs more so. Initially you're faced with a climb full of extreamly challenging rock gardens. This is the "up". It's steep and at times seems almost impossible. Then comes the "over" which begins with some tricky north shore about a foot wide and a few feet high in places. It's a black trail so there are no chicken routes or ways around so it's do or die. It's all single track here and you never go more than a few metres without encountering some kind of obstacle. Tree stumps are even in play as the trail simply leads you straight over the stumps rather than around then in some cases.

A few twists and turns aside and you begin the descent. It's a bit hairy in places. Big rocks with big drops on the other side of them. It seems just about possible to roll most of it but at times you'll wonder how on earth you made it without going over the bars or scraping your chain wheels. It's a shame it doesn't go on for longer but it's still a blast.

Worth checking out but it's fairly short and very demanding. I likes it!
