Where I First Rode Off Road
Review:
I love this place mainly because it is where my friends and I used to go when we were young. That was years ago and you could ride anywhere you wanted...things changed slowly (the park went under some sort of management change) and during the early 90's we started to get chased around by quad bike cops...this was possibly the best fun in the world because they rarely caught us! Anyway..nowadays there are a few gravel trails and the road loop is great fun (v. fast) but you will find yourself avoiding other park users and curbing your speed often on the weekend.
The kingston Gate is open all night (fond memories of night rides there) and its a great place to escape the traffic. Not really a mountain bike trail but a great place nonetheless.

Review:
As one of the only parks with a hill or two within cycling distance, this is a really good place to go.
My m8's and I have been motoring down and got my speedo up to 43mph off road a few times.
The runs are very straight in most places allowing to pick up speed, and even the techy bits are easy to roll through at speed. There are some nice roots that make good kickers along the way and some small drops!
Only thing to bring it down is the trails are a bit short.
(I been on longer rollercoasters)
