Just across the Scottish border, west of Northumberland’s Kielder Forest, The Old Bakehouse lies in the heart of Newcastleton village. A short walk from the Liddle River, this 2-bedroom cottage has free parking and Wi-Fi.

The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, fridge and dishwasher, and there is also a dining area for 4 guests. The lounge has a Smart TV (with access to Netfilx, iPayer etc) and DVD player, and the en suite double and the twin bedroom are complemented by a bathroom with bath and shower.

Newcastleton offers hill walking, cycling trails and a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. It is around 25 miles from Carlisle and just over 1 hour’s drive from Dumfries.
